The Finance and Control (F&C) function is the driving force behind performance and the creation of greater value in the company, we ensure financing and are responsible for financial information internally and externally. The F&C function provides professional support and advice towards business units and the corporate executive management. We also represent Equinor in the financial markets and are responsible for the interaction towards equity analysts and investors
F&C is represented all over the organization: at corporate level, in Equinor’s global business service unit and in the different business areas and units across the company
Professional disciplines under Finance and Control are:
• Investment and portfolio analysis
• Performance management
• Financing, treasury and financial asset management
• Accounting, financial reporting and financial compliance
• Business architecture, business analytics and digitalization
• Risk management
• Investor relations
• Tax (most likely no internship this year)
As a summer intern you will be working with business tasks and projects gaining practical experience from a broad variety of tasks. You will be supported by experienced leaders and collaborative colleagues to expand your range of competencies and skills.
During the internship you will grow and learn from our main business activities, you will deliver into our functional processes or you will have the opportunity to work with improvement projects supporting our strategy and business goals.
Your exact assignment and location will be decided based on our business needs combined with your field of expertise and your interests. With regards to location, most of our internships are in Stavanger.
As Equinor is known to be a front runner on digitalization, we are also looking for candidates with technical interest or background that can join us to further explore the opportunities with digitalisation.
Studies within economics, finance, business, industrial economics, accounting or risk management is most relevant for an internship in F&C.
No more than 1 year of full time relevant experience (please note research under a PhD are not be considered relevant experience).
Have completed at least 2 years of relevant bachelor studies by the time of the commencement of the internship, and are currently enrolled in a relevant study programme.
Fluent in English
International work and/or study experience preferred
