Temporary position in the Actuary and Risk Capital Team in Arendal

Are you systematic, analytic and have an understanding of some basic statistical techniques?
Are you interested in learning about the drivers that quantify different risk types within Gard?
Then we are looking for you!

Due to a paternity leave in our Actuary and Risk Capital team in Arendal, we are looking for a candidate to fill a position as Business Analyst. The position is temporary for a period of 7 months commencing 3 February 2020.

The primary focus of the job will be working with Gard’s Internal Capital modelling team, on tasks such as

  • Quarterly updates of the model documentation
  • Checking and control of inputs and outputs in the Internal Model
  • Contribute to analysis and present the results of the internal model to relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to setting the yearly model parameters through analysis of historical data
  • Contributing to the annual validation process of the Internal model


  • Excellent command of IT tools
  • Very structured and systematic
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken
