Tererai Obey Sithole

PhD Research Fellow

Tererai Obey Sithole is a PhD Research Fellow whose current research focuses on understanding citizen initiatives and their role in the face of refugee crisis in Europe. He holds a Master's degree in Global Development and Planning from the University of Agder and attained his Bsc in Local Governance Studies from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe.

Prior to his current position, he has worked as a Tutor in two different Masters’ courses; Planning for Local & Regional Development as well as Gender, Culture & Everyday life at UiA.

Sithole is a development enthusiast, a passionate advocate for democracy and human rights who has experience in working within Zimbabwe's civil society, international aid organisations in Uganda and Norway. In the past he has worked with PLAN International Norway; he has also served in various national leadership positions both as a student and political activist in Zimbabwe in his quest to serve his country.
