Participates in several research projects with emphasis on ticks and tick-borne pathogens. One of the projects is ScandTick Innovation: www.scandtick.com.
Networks
2015 - : ScandTick Innovation (role: project managment). ScandTick Innovation (STI) (www.scandtick.com) is a project supported by the EU programme Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak. STI is a collaborative project between Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The project aims to reduce the number of tick borne disease cases through the joint efforts of specialists in veterinary medicine, ecology, molecular biology, microbiology, medicine, health economy and environmental modelling.
2014 - : National Advisory Unit for tick-borne diseases (NKFS) (role: member of the regional and the national reference group)
2012 – 2014: ScandTick (role: project management): ScandTick was an Interreg IV A project in the Øresund, Kattegat and Skagerrak (ØKS) region, and was a collaborative project between Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The background for the project was the increasing problems related to ticks and tick-borne diseases in the Scandinavian countries, especially within the ØKS-region.
2012 - : ESGBOR (role: member of planning group): ESGBOR is a European network for researchers, and a study group under «the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases» (ESCMID). ESGBOR consists of two subgroups; «Ecological risk and prevention» and «Diagnostics and treatment».
2011 - : NorTick (role: member of the organizing committee): NorTick is a Norwegian network for researchers covering all aspects of ticks and tick-borne pathogens and diseases.
